Enjoying Trendy Events at the Renaissance Santiago Hotel

We were invited to a newer luxury hotel in Santiago to discover and explore our city from a different lens. We thought, ”Why not the usual bar or go to the home of our friend with the largest TV?” We like to shake it up a bit and do more than just ‘the usual’, we wanted to see what this place had to offer and experience it for ourselves.
With the spotlights waving and gleaming off the surface of the hotel, we felt like superstars walking into the Renaissance Santiago Hotel. It towers over everything surrounding it, calling onlookers to come in and get inspired by what’s inside. Although you might think a hotel is exclusively for travelers, they make it easy for the community to explore their own city with a fresh view by hosting fun events making it easy to create your next unforgettable moment at an exclusive yet accessible location.
Experiencing the Copa América at the Renaissance Santiago Hotel
We could see the event room as we walked into the hotel with bright red, blue and white colors and Chilean flags highlighting the entire room. There was a festive feeling in the air, an anticipation for a moment when all of our built up energy would burst in unison. We were all there to watch the opening match of the Copa América with Chile vs. Ecuador on the big screen.
Warmly greeted by the attentive and friendly staff, we took a seat and our party immediately started. “Do you want a pisco sour or sour alegre?” Yes and yes! There is no other proper way to experience a Chilean soccer game than with an endless supply of drinks and barbecued meats. Once our drinks were served, we hoped over to the food bar for some tasty accompaniments – crab salad, sweet and savory pork hors d’oeuvres and barbecued chicken and beef to complete a proper Chilean menu.
In addition to great food and drinks, the entertainment was non-stop. While the music was booming and adding to our excitement, we had a pre-game show of freestyle soccer tricksters getting us pumped for the game and ESPN was interviewing guests live throughout the event.
The Renaissance Santiago Hotel holds sporting events like the Copa América, but they also regular after office gatherings on Wednesdays and Thursdays called “Santiago Nights” with top shelf promos and live DJs so you can unwind in luxury during the week. It’s also a perfect place to wine and dine for special occasions like Father’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Beautiful place! It should be so fun to watch futbol there. We are following the Copa America too but not so easy to keep up with it with the other tournaments happening at the same time (the Sub 20 World Cup and the Women’s World Cup).

Always fun to try somewhere new, and this one looks like a winner, unless the booming music was too loud 🙂
