Lisboa, Portugal: Weekend Travel Inspiration

This weekend our travel inspiration comes from Lisboa!
We traveled to Portugal during the fall of 2013 and fell in love with the city. It reminds us of both Valparaíso and San Francisco.
Lisboa has that mix of history and bohemian feel that makes you fall for the place inmediately. It’s full of hidden gems in every corner.
The cable cars are functional and serve the locals as well as the tourists. For Francisco it was like a glance to the golden days of Valparaíso and at the same time we experienced all of the history and culture of Portugal.
These ideas: history, tradition and heritage attract us and lead us to keep traveling to find that next place we will fall in love with.

Oh it looks great – Lisbon is already on my list and it’s just moved up a couple of places. We love portugal but so far haven’t ventured out of the Alentejo region (which is absolutely beautiful) #wkendtravelinspiration

Lisboa looks really cool. We skipped it for some reason and went on to nearby Sintra.

Hi Crystal, I love your photographs of Lisbon. I’d been to this soulful city many many years ago; I loved it and yearns to return. Your photos took me back right there and gave me more craving to go back. I like and agree with your description of Lisbon as a cross between SFO and Valparaiso.
Nice finding your blog through #weekendtravelinspiration.

Lisboa is an awesome city! There are clearly some similarities between San Fransisco and Lisboa.
